Safety and security

Terrorism
We advise you to exercise caution and monitor developments that might affect your safety in Spain because of the risk of terrorism. Pay close attention to your personal security and monitor the media for information about possible new safety or security risks.
The Spanish Government’s threat alert level indicates a ‘probable risk’ of a terrorist attack in Spain.
Civil Unrest/Political Tension
Be aware that public demonstrations, particularly in the Basque Country, can spark violent incidents. You should avoid demonstrations and large public gatherings as they may turn violent.
Crime
Petty crime, such as pick pocketing and bag snatching, is particularly common in tourist areas and on public transport in large Spanish cities. Thieves often work in gangs and use various ploys to distract the attention of tourists.
Local Travel
Forest fires regularly occur during the summer months and have led to fatalities. If camping, ask the local authorities for advice on the fire danger.
Natural Disasters, Severe Weather and Climate
Spain experiences extreme storms from time to time, particularly along the northern coast and islands. Northern areas can also be affected by heavy snows during the winter months.
Health issues
The Spanish Ministry of Health recommends that tourists travelling to Spain who become ill with flu-like symptoms telephone the Spanish Emergency Services Hotline 112.
Agrees or disagrees
In reference to terrorism I am disagreeing because not all days there are attacks, it is dangerous but happen always.
In Basque country the attacks happen in specific occasion, the tourist has avoid places where is more common that this happen, especially at night.

The pickpocket are in middle of people, so should be careful with our bags, It happens all days so the tourist always has avoid that strange people, but I am disagree when said that all thief takes guns.

In reference to local travel the forest fire normally happen when people pointedly do or in summer when the weather is hottest then the earth is warmer.

I am disagree when said that the tourist is vaccinated for flu, because the last year has not problems  with the virus, only that if the tourist is delicate health should be vaccinated before travel.
Other Advice
I would recommend the tourist that when travel Spain for example in summer, that drink a lot because the weather in coast is warmer, should put sun cream if they are in the beach, and should has avoid when there is red flat in the beach.

I don´t think that Spain is a dangerous country so the tourist has not any problem for travel here.
